Round
the World. This is the same game as Cincinnati except that only
four cards are dealt face down to each player and only four cards
are dealt as a widow to the center of the table. In the showdown
each player selects his hand from the eight available cards.
How to play:
This game should be played along the same lines as Cincinnati, but
with more emphasis on straights and flushes. A high flush is now
a reasonable hand, and may win a pot in which no pairs appear in
the common cards.
When playing to win on a flush, be especially wary of any pair formed
in the common cards, no matter how low. Not only is this pair likely
to make three-of-a-kind for some other player (since players tend
to stay in the pot if they match the common cards), but if another
common card matches a pair in some player's hand, he has a full
house. Thus, when holding or playing for a flush, tend to drop out
if a pair appears in the common upcards.
